MY TOWN

Some people say my town is boring and unexciting. They say, for example that there is only one theater and the movies there areusually out of date or uninteresting for young people, especially. We have only three restaurants a Mexican one, a Chinese one and an Italian one. You can get American food there but it is usually old andinsipid. My school is plain and many of the classrooms need repairs. However the teachers are nice and we learn a lot from them. There are no modern sports facilities. If we want to swim, we go tothe river. If we want to run, we run in the streets or roads.

Medellin is the capital of Antioquia department, enjoys a temperate climate thatgives the city the names of The Land of Eternal Spring and Capital of The Flowers.

Placed in Aburrá's narrow Valley and surrounded with high mountains, the city spreads from south to north, with theriver as backbone. Medellin same occupies scarcely a portion of the Valley, but the Metropolitan Zone (of which they do divides other eight Municipalities) it forms already practically an urban unit ofmore than three millions and inhabitants' way.

And as one of the marvels of medellin, Coltejer is one of the more important companies of textile in Colombia. It was founded in Medellin byAlejandro Echavarría on October 22, 1907
