Legal System in Trinidad and Tobago

A small archipelagic State in the Caribbean, consisting in two main islands, withholds one of the least corrupt countries in the LatinAmerican continent nowadays, the proud Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Discovered in 1498 by the famous Christopher Columbus and since it has had a great influence from the European countries that colonizedAmerica at a time; Spain, Britain, Deutschland, and France, occupied these small islands leaving a profound impression in their culture and traditions that we can now appreciate in their lifestyleand therefore reflected in its actual legal system._
Being a member of the British Commonwealth and because the country just gained its independence from England in 1962, Trinidad and Tobago turns outto be a relative new country that have made great efforts to demonstrate its capability as a country which has grow significantly in the Petroleum and Services industries._ Furthermore, Trinidad andTobago kept the previous legal system of common law or case law system, making it one of the few Latin American, English speaking countries with this kind system.
The Ministry of Legal Affairs is incharge of compiling all the Laws, Acts, and Subsidiary Legislation into a single innovated Internet web platform accessible to all, national and foreign people; throughout the creation of the LawRevision Commission established in the Law Revision Act, Chap. 3:03 “the Commission's mandate is to prepare, publish and maintain a Revised Edition of the Laws of Trinidad and Tobago”_. It is the onlyagency in charged with this responsibility with a vision to form "A state of the art technology driven organization providing real time access to the updated Laws in both textual and electronic format."_The contents of the revised laws of Trinidad and Tobago are the Constitution, the List of Omitted Acts, an alphabetic list, and a classified table of chapters.
