1. Since the subject of the poem is Harlem and the word choice seems to be
more positive the Tone of the poem is clearly surprised.
When reviewing the poem, words such as _Strange, gentler and Stepping demonstrate
thatthe author’s attitude towards the subject is vibrant
because he is surprised that he found a place for his best fit.

2. The subject of this poem is clearly culture because if you look at (the title, the
lines, the notation) it demonstrates that the author is talking about finiding harlem . Since the poet mentions
