Phil: Email? Oh I just use e-mail at work, for work purposes. I never send e-mails to friends I like speaking, face to facepreferably.
Phil: ¿Correo electrónico? Únicamente lo utilizo en el trabajo, para asuntos laborales. Nunca les mando correos a mis amigos, prefiero hablar con ellos personalmente.June: Yeah, I know. I email friends when I’m on vacation though. Especially when I travel outside the U.S. it’s a good way to keep in touch.
June: Sí lo sé, aunque yo les mandocorreos cuando estoy de vacaciones, especialmente cuando salgo de Estados Unidos. Es una buena opción para mantenernos en contacto
Phil: Yeah that’s true. What about letters, June?Phil: Sí, es verdad! ¿Y las cartas, June?
June: I sometimes write letters, you know, like to my grandma because she doesn’t have e-mail. So, yeah sometimes.
June: Algunasveces escribo cartas, por ejemplo le escribo a mi abuela porque no tiene correo electrónico. Sí algunas veces.
Phil: what about texting?
Phil: ¿Y los mensajes de texto?
June:Oh, no she doesn’t have a cell phone! She’s 85! You text a lot, don’t you Phil.
June: Oh no, ella no tiene teléfono celular pues tiene 85 años. Pero tú mandas mensajes de textomuy seguido, ¿Cierto Phil?
Phil: Yeah, every day. At least once a day. It’s useful when you’re on the subway and you can call on the phone.
Phil: Sí, todos los días. Al menos unavez al día. Es de gran ayuda cuando vas en el metro y no puedes usar el teléfono.
June: I guess, but using the phone is the main thing, isn’t it? I use the phone every day.June: Eso creo, pero usar el teléfono es lo importante no lo crees. Yo lo uso todos los días.
Phil: yeah, me too. It’s essential.
Phil: Si, yo también. Es indispensable
