Hydraulic Installation for Front (standard coil springs only)

1) Safely secure the vehicle on a lift or jack stands.
2) Remove the front shocks.
3) Use a springcompressor to compress the factory coil springs so that they can be removed safely. NOTE: For safety you should place a jack under the a-arm to secure the lower a-arm andprevent the spring tension from allowing the spring to come out of the car quickly causing bodily harm and damage to vehicle.
4) Remove the sway bay end-links from the lowerA-arm.
5) Loosen the lower ball joint and separate with a ball joint splinter. [pic]
6) Allow the lower a-arm to drop and carefully remove the spring. (If the vehicle isequipped with stabilizer bars running from the a-arm to the front of the frame these will need to be unbolted from the a-arm before the arm will drop.)

7) Use ahole-saw to make an 1 ¾ hole in the upper shock/a-arm mount (use the hole for the factory shock stud as a center)( this hole can also be made with a torch or plasma cutter but ahole-saw is preferred for neatness)
8) Directly in front of the hole created the upper a-arm needs to be notched for cylinder clearance.
