The symbol shown on the left appears in this documentation whenever the machine tool manufacturer has the possibility of influencing/modifying the functional behaviour described by changing a cycle machine data (MDC).

Since the cycle machine data range and the cycle setting data range can be set up in different ways, the relevantdata in the examples are explained on the basis of the standard settings.

This User's Guide applies to: SINUMERIK 850/880 control as from Software Version 4, SINUMERIK 880 GA2 as from Software Version 1, SINUMERIK 840 as from Software Version 1, SINUMERIK 840C as from Software Version 1, measuring cycles as from version 20!
