Th e instruction s for loading of application configu ration and
system softwar e ar e gathered to ch apter 2.4. Th e installation of
YourWay configuration tools is described in chapter 2.3.

Con figuration inclu des all th e in formation that WECS needs of
the sensor an d device settin gs, command sets, measurin g algorithms, calculations and repor t formats. The configu ration is
based on configu ration files that can be created an d modified in
separ ate ways: by usin g YourWay configur ation tools, text editor
or CONWECS configuration program.These th ree ways of making con figur ation files differ a lot from each oth er. There is an
instruction delivered with the CONWECS program, therefore
CONWECS will not be intr oduced here. Kn owledge of pr ogramming language structu re or syn tax is not required with any of
those thr ee methods of creating configu ration files.
F ig 5-1 and Fig 5-2 sh ow the con figur able application modules
ofthe WECS. The modules are tasks runn ing under VRX. Each
of them has a specific task to per form an d their beh aviour is
configur ed in the configu ration files. There is a separ ate configuration file for each of th ese modu les. The YourWay configur ation
tool is available for some tasks wh ile text editor can always be
used for creating and modifying configu ration files. Configur ationfiles ar e ASCII text files. They have to be compiled into a binary
form before loading to the WECS.
