Thefirst invention
His best friend was Ben Herdman, a neighbor whose family was producing a molinoharinero. In an occasion in which, while they were playing, thefriends Ben and Aleck caused a disaster, John Herdman (father of Ben) scolded them saying: " why do not they do slightly usefully? ". Aleck asked what agenecessary to do in the mill and they said to him that to peel the wheat, something that was done by means of a tedious process. Then, to the age of 12 years, Bellconstructed a device done in house that John Herdman combined the palettes that they were rotating with the systems of brushes of the nail, creating a machine ofdescortezamiento simply that was put in operation and used during many años.11 In gratefulness, a small workshop yielded them in order that "they" could "invent" .11
