The Yorkshire Terrier is a small dog developed in the nineteenth century in the county of Yorkshire, England. The name was adopted in 1870, with the English county of Yorkshire which led to therace. Huddersfield Ben is considered the pillar of the race, born in 1865 and died in 1871. Bred by W. Eastwood Huddersfield, born of a cross between mother and child (Inbreeding) laid the groundwork forwhat would become the future race known as the Yorkshire Terrier Modern. Today is one of the smartest dog breeds. According to records, the Yorkshire Terrier was the first most popular breed in theUnited States in 2002. His first appearance at a dog show took place around 1880, and immediately found wide acceptance among the public. Currently ranked first in the English races, and is one of themost popular companion dogs around the world.
The characteristics of this breed are its small size, weighing about 3.2 kg (7 pounds) and his hair blue and red fire. The original Yorkshire Terrier was adog about 6 to 7 kilos (13lb to 15lb approx.) Weight, used to hunt rats and other rodents.They are sensitive about their food, health and welfare.
The Yorkshire Terrier is the product of thecombination of Scottish and English terrier, which occurred when a part of Scotland's population was displaced due to the Industrial Revolution and settled in England. Among the races that have led to theYorkshire Terrier include the Waterside Terrier, Clydesdale Terrier and the Paisley Terrier. The Scottish influence is given by the Scottish Terrier, West Highland White Terrier, Maltese, Cairn Terrierand Skye Terrier. Height: Between 30 and 40 cm at the withers. The height must correspond to its weight.
Weight: The weight ranges from 2, 3 or 4 kg (4.4 lb, 6.6 lb or 8.8 lb). The standard weightof the Yorkshire Terrier are about 3150 grams (3.15 kg - 6.9 lb), there are plus size Yorkshire and vice versa, but in any case there is only one breed of Yorkshire and that is the issue of around...
