1-. SUMMARY - JUSTIFICATION

Marketing involves seeking the satisfaction of the needs and desires of our customers is something that concern to all of us, it has to do with goods, services, people, ideas, organizations, in short, is permanently on the world around us .The course of Marketing is the firstcontact that students have with this area. The course is designed to give students basic skills that will enable them with comprehensive vision and set of key principles that form the modern concept of marketing. The course will foster the development of skills interpretation and analysis of situations experienced by companies in their daily pass.

2-. OBJECTIVES

Awake in the studentinterest in marketing, understood as a system of thought and disciplinary action in all spheres of society, highlighting its role in business organizations.

Consider the environment in which marketing evolves specifically in light of the emergence of new technologies including customer relationship management, Internet, e-marketing strategies and of course the globalization of the economy.

Developin students a critical perspective of the marketing process, in order to reach a systematic questioning of the validity of the marketing principles and practices discussed in terms of social, ethical, legal and managerial.

Emphasize the application of the elements of marketing to Colombian reality through the development of practicalexercises applying the theory to Colombian situations.


3-. METHODOLOGY


• Previous reading of the guidance text.
• Quizzes. (individually)
• Workshops: Practical exercises in working groups to link theory with the Colombian case. In total 4 workshops will be develop..
• Two (2) partial exams. Exams won’t be acumulative.


4-. EVALUATION


• Part 1 (individual Exam) 25%
• Part2 (individual Examl) 25%
• Quizzes 25% (minimum 8)
• Four (4) Group workshops 25%


5-. COMMENTS ABOUT CLASS DEVELOPMENT.

To evaluate present course, students will have workshops, class presentations, and individual quizzes, a minimum of eight. The following aspects should be taken into account:
