Los productos agrícolas significan más del 50% de la Producción Final Agraria, representando en la UE más del 12%, destacando la producción hortofrutícola, el viñedo el olivar y el cereal.
The agricultural products mean more than 50 % of the Final Agricultural Production, representing in the UE more than 12 %, highlighting theproducction of products of the orchard, the vineyard, the oliveyard and the cereals.
En España, la agricultura siempre ha sido un factor importante para la economía, pero por distintos factores ha decaido mucho. En 1901 era un 67 % de la economía, en 1950 ya había decaido a un 48% y en 1995 solo era un 10%.
In Spain, the agriculture always has been an important factor for the economy, but nowadays,per differents factors, agriculture has declined a lot. In 1901 it was a 67 % of the economy, in 1950 already it has declined a little and it was a 48 % and in 1995 it was only a 10 %

Aceitunas y aceite de oliva

El sector del aceite de oliva es uno de los grandes sectores agrarios delEstado Español, aunque su presencia en las distintas regiones es irregular, concentrándose en el Sur de la Península. En los últimos años se ha producido un importante incremento en las producciones y en la superficie cultivada.
The sector of the olive oil is one of the big agricultural sectors of the Spanish State, although its presence in the differents regions is irregular, focusing in thesouth of the Peninsula. In the last years it has produced an important increase in the producction and in the surface cultivated.
La mejora en la calidad del aceite de oliva ha sido considerable en los últimos años y ha exigido de un gran esfuerzo por parte de todos los agricultores de la aceituna
The improve in the quality of the olive oil has been important in the last years and it has demandeda big effort by all the farmers of the olive.
Los cereales
The cereals
El trigo, la cebada, y en menor medida la avena y el centeno son los cereales que se cultivan en el secano de casi toda España.
The wheat, the barley and in a few less measure the oats and the rye are the cereals that are cultivated in the dryland of the most part of Spain
En las zonas de regadío de España se siembra elmaiz.
In the irrigated zones of Spain are planted the corn.
El arroz, debido a sus grandes exigencias de agua, está por completo ausente en los secanos. Su área se limita a las zonas bajas y de fácil encharcamiento del litoral valenciano, el delta del Ebro y las Marismas del Guadalquivir.
The rice, due to his big needs of water, is completely absent in the dryland. His area is only in the lowlands and in the lands of easy pondings of the Valencian coast, the Ebro's delta and in the Marsh of Guadalquivir river.

La agricultura ecológica define un sistema agrario cuyo objetivo fundamental es la obtención de alimentos de máxima calidad, respetando el medio ambiente y conservando la fertilidad de latierra, mediante la utilización óptima de los recursos naturales, excluyendo el empleo de productos químicos y intentando un desarrollo agrario y ganadero sostenible.
La práctica de la agricultura ecológica comenzó en España a finales de los años 80.
