Altiplano Central Mexicano
El altiplano central de México es una inmensa porción del territorio del país queincluye los actuales estados de México, Morelos, Tlaxcala, Puebla, el sur de Hidalgo y el Distrito Federal, que alberga la capital de la nación.

Tollan-Xicocotitlan (náhuatl: Tōllan-Xīcocotitlan ['toː.ɬan ʃiː.ko.ko.'ti.t​͡ɬan], 'Lugar de tules-Cerca del lugar de los jicotes' ‘Gran Ciudad cerca del cerro Xicoco[1] ’)? —conocida como Tula, forma castellanizada de Tōllan— fue la capital delestado tolteca, que se desarrolló en el centro de México durante el período posclásico temprano de Mesoamérica. En esta ciudad estaba asentado el principal poder político de los valles de México y Puebla-Tlaxcala entre los siglos X y XII de nuestra era.
