English Project: Hurricane Karl
Hurricane Karl, was the second hurricane that hits the Gulf Of Mexico, thefirst one was “Alex”, which hit Tamaulipas and Nuevo Leon with a category of 2.
Karl, entered into México on September 17th at 7:00 pm with a speed of 185 km/h. and it was classified as a Category 2hurricane (according to the Saffir-Simpson scale).
Between the states that the hurricane Karl left affected are: Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Oaxaca, Puebla and Chiapas with a yellow alert, Queretarowith a blue alert and Veracruz with a red alert.
In Veracruz, the hurricane Karl left at least 14 deaths and thousands (40,000) of damnificated people over 112 municipalities like Boca del Rio, LaAntigua, Cotaxtla, Cosamaloapa, Tlacolalpan, Alvarado, Minatitlán etc., representing the 67% of the entity.
Like other many states of the republic, Jalisco sympathize with Veracruz and organized aconcert in where participate artists like Chayanne, Belinda, Marc Anthony, Lucero etc. between others…
The concert took place in La Minerva, in where around 150,000 people assisted in order to collect10 tons of help like canned food, water, covers etc. to the people that need help in Veracruz that lost all that they had.
Rescue Cage Arrives al Chile Mine
Rescue workers in Chile took deliverySaturday of a 420-kilogram cage that is expected to haul 33 trapped miners back to the surface.
Authorities have dubbed the device the "Phoenix Capsule" because they say it will help the miners riseup again and give them a new life.
