A lot of people know them; some people have heard about them, but they don´t know what they are. The anime and manga orManga-Anime is a kind of Japanese animation that has become very popular around the world.
The manga is the first step to make anime. It is like a comicbut with many differences like the style of drawing, the color of the pictures, the way how it must to be read and the topics. The comics showsuperheroes but the mangas show superheroes, school students and regular people living their lives.
The characters of most of mangas have big eyes andsimilar characteristics to the Disney pictures, that’s because the father of the manga, Osamu Tezuka, was a fan of Walt Disney and he made his famouscharacter Astroboy with big eyes head and a small body, that style has been changing with the time and now the pictures are more realistic but with theparticular big eyes.
The anime is a word that derivates from the word “animation” and it is the animated form of the manga. This is the most popular way ofJapanese animation because even if the people are not fans of the manga they have watched anime, a clear example is that here in Peru a lot of peoplehave watched Dragon Ball, Astroboy, Saint Seiya, Candy Candy, Sakura Card Captor, etc.
