Arturo Calle Robledo was born in Medellin (Colombia) and since he was a child heliked business, Nowadays Mr. Calle has been for years one of the great leaders of the business world in Colombia. It is for this reason that, without a doubt is a man who throughout hisbusiness career and his life has become a role model for many Colombians, and has taught many people to see a unique and unrepeatable in everything you do.
Mr. Arturo startedworking since young at “Hilanderías Pepalfa”, a hosiery factory where for two and a half years all that he saved all the money that he won and left to meet their goal of independence. Itwas from that moment that Mr. Arturo Calle in search of opportunity, entered the world of menswear. Soon Mr. Hector Correa, offered to Arturo a small shop located in San Victorino(Bogota) in 1965
Sometime later, the store called "La Camisita" disappeared because it was demolished. So Arturo bought a larger warehouse, which bore the name "El Dante". With thislatest work of 2-3 years and thereafter by suggestions of a connoisseur of the marketing strategies of the time, decided to change the name to “Arturo Calle”, a short name andimposing. Mr. Calle was not satisfied with this store and it was there that got a stock 20 times larger, then bought a third store, fourth and so on making today the brand has more 50 storesin major cities of Colombia and five garment factories.
Don Arturo is one of the pioneers in Colombia in social responsibility practices, in addition, he is a symbol of jobcreation and development in Colombia. As Arturo Calle show us, we can start from scratch and get to grow our business to achieve the goals that we set.
