Rhetorical analysis
Since when it became the comedy into an act of activism! The comedian George Carlin, in one of his presentations, show a distorted idea of the American dream with the monologuetitled "The American Dream". In his presentation the comedian expresses his opinion comedian dragging the audience into a new concept of the American dream. In the rhetorical analysis of his monologue!The comedian used Pathos and Logos as his greatest tools to persuade the audience.
The Comedian shows his disagreement to the audience using bad words sounding. not only their bad words show hisanger but also the arguments used against the system of this country saying that the real owners of this country are multimillion companies the real decision makers of this country heading. Comedian inhis argument adds that education does not help much when real owners of this country are trying to control the lower classes. All these manifestations of disagreement and anger show that the comedianuses fine rhetorical language of Pathos
In an attempt to make sense of the arguments that the comedian does see the audience in his monologue, comedian uses Logos, saying the multimillion dollarcompanies want more for themselves and less for the lower classes. When companies billions or "true owners" of this country as George Carlin calls them, use their money to manipulate decisions and makethe results are only favored to them. Is logical to think that people with more money have more power to make or break what they want. This way of thinking Carlin logic is very convincing to hisaudience.
True, Carlin shows a logic and passion in his monologue and does so with great ability. But it is worth thinking that people who paid to see a comedy act cannot be hundred percent agree withCarlin.
