PARMENIDES AND HERACLITUS

PARMENIDES: (Born between 530 BC C. and the 515 a. C. * 1 in the city of Elea, a Greek colony in southern Magna Grecia (Italy) Greek philosopher. Little isknown reliable data on the biography of Parmenides. His doctrine, still much debated, it has been reconstructed from the few fragments that remain from his only work, and a comprehensive didacticpoem entitled On Nature.

Based on the identification of logic with ontological level, after concluding that nothing in the world can contradict what is necessary from the standpoint of thought, an analysisof Parmenides 'being' or 'the body' that leads him to deny the plurality and motion.
HERACLITUS: (born about the year 535 a. C. and died in about  484  a.C.)
Greek philosopher. Very little is knownabout the biography of Heraclitus of Ephesus, known as the Dark by the enigmatic character that often clothed his style, as evidenced by a number of the surviving fragments of his teachings.The teachings of Heraclitus, according to Diogenes Laertius, were collected in a book entitled On the Nature, which was the universe, politics and theology, but is likely to introduce a subdivision ofthe Alexandrian compilation of texts of Heraclitus, but what has come down to us of the doctrine is found in a fragmentary and their sources are quotations, references and comments from other authors.
