Brain
1.There are three main parts of the brain that you will learn about, the cerebrum, cerebellum, and the brain stem.
2. The biggest part of the brain is the cerebrum. It is divided in to twohemispheres, the right and left hemispheres. The right side of the cerebrum controls things such as imagination and 3-D forms and helps you think about abstract things like music, colors, and shapes. The otherside of the brain, the left side, controls numbering skills, posture, and reasoning helping you with math, logic, and speech. The cerebrum is the thinking part of the brain and it controls yourvoluntary muscles — the ones that move when you want them to. Scientists do know for sure that the right half of the cerebrum controls the left side of your body, and the left half controls the right side. The cerebellum controls posture, balance, and coordination. The cerebellum is at the back of the brain, below the cerebrum. It controls balance, movement, and coordination (how your muscles worktogether). The lowest part of the brain is located in the brain stem. It connects the rest of the brain to the spinal cord, which runs down your neck and back. The brain stem is in charge of all thefunctions your body needs to stay alive, like breathing air, digesting food, and circulating blood.
3. Right hemisphere: judging the position of things in space, knowing body position, understanding andremembering things we do and see, putting bits of information together to make an entire picture, controls the left side of the body. Art, music, intuition. Left hemisphere: understanding and use of...
