BREAST CANCER
CONCEPT
Breast cancer is a disease that is abnormal and disordered growth of cells with mutated genes (cancer cells), which normally act by suppressing or stimulating the continuity of the cell cycle from different tissues of a mammary gland (breast tissue).
• The mammary gland consists of several clusters of lobes and lobules connected by a thintube, as a branch of a tree in these ducts is developed breast cancer more common than cancer is behavioral; the other type of cancer is lobular carcinoma.
• In medicine, breast cancer is known as breast carcinoma
Breast Cancer is a malignant tumor disease easy to diagnose and therefore an early and appropriate treatment, thus yielding excellent cosmetic results even with a long survivaland disease free. However, in our country and our environment more specifically, the reality is different.

TYPES OF BREAST CANCER
Most tumors that occur in the breast are benign, not cancerous, and are due to fibrocystic formations.
The cyst is like a bag filled with fluid and fibrosis is an abnormal development of connective tissue. Fibrosis does not increase the risk ofdeveloping a tumor and does not require special treatment. The cysts, if large, can be painful. The removal of fluid with a needle usually takes away the pain.
The presence of one or more cysts does not favor the appearance of malignant tumors.
▪ Benign tumors are related mostly to genetic factors. Symptoms that occur are pain and inflammation but not spread to the rest of the body are notdangerous.
▪ In malignant tumors, various types depending on the location of the breast where there is abnormal growth of cells and depending on their stage.
Tumors may be localized or have spread through the blood vessels or via the lymphatic vessels, and have led to metastasize, a cancer in a distant organ to the original.
In all cases of breast cancer, only 7-10% of them start metastases. There are two main types of breast cancer:
• Ductal carcinoma begins in the ducts that carry milk from the breast to the nipple. Most breast cancers are this type.
• Lobular carcinoma starts in parts of the breast, called lobules that produce milk.
In rare cases, breast cancer can start in other areas of the breast.

BREAST CANCER IN THE MAN
Breast cancer also affects men but in amuch smaller percentage (1%) compared to the female population suffer from it.
The symptoms are similar to those presented by women, and prognosis and treatment is the same as them and is explained below.
The biggest problem is that there is detected a little later then, to be in a few men think of other diagnoses rather than breast cancer.

NOTE:
RISK FACTORS
The cause of breastcancer not known but see know some risk factors. Risk factor is considered that situation to increase your chances of getting the disease.
Keep in mind that women who are more likely to develop breast cancer (to have more risk factors) can take preventive measures to reduce the likelihood and newspapers revisions or changes in your lifestyle.
Factors:
❖ Sex
The breast cancer occursmainly in women though. Also can affect men but the probability is much lower.
❖ Age
An elderly carries an increased number of cancers. 60% of breast cancers occur in women more than 60 years. This percentage increases much more AFTER 75 years.
❖ Genes
There are two genes identified that when sib change occurs in them (mutation) is associated with a higher likelihood of developingbreast cancer. These genes are called BRCA1 and BRCA2, and according to some studies it seems that between 50% and 60% of women who have inherited the mutated genes can develop cancer before 70 years.
❖ Family history
A previous benign breast disease appears to increase the risk in women who have a large number of ducts. Even so, this risk is moderate. Some abnormal breast biopsy may be...
