The are some elements of Chinese Culture
Confucianism.- Moral cultivation, family and grouporientation, interpersonal relationship, respect for age and hierarchy, avoidance of conflict, need for harmony and each gentleman is different but together they stay in harmony. Some examples are;Dining table seating, meeting table seating, ganbei, bad carrying, door opening and respect for order and hierarchy.
Taoism.- Man vs nature, Yin and Yang, an old man lost a horse, is it necessarilya bad luck?, do nothing principle, Tai Ji: no style is better than any style and Harmony: balance, make peace, avoid conflict.
Buddhism.- Immortal life(previous life, current life, post life),humanism/altruism, emphasis on daily life as spiritual practice, universality of wanting to save all beings and harmony(inner peace)
Communism.- Discredit confucianism, destruction offeudalism, politics dominating and cultural revolution.
Reformism.- Open door in 1978, stock market in 1989, from coastal cities to surroundings, from east to west and strategic reform to enrich asmall group of people first. Economic progress surpasses social and political progress, new economic opportunities, greed, easy way to get rich fast and short sighted.
