OF
“CICLO EXPLORATORIO INTEGRADO”

INTRODUCTION
Even though the artistic aspects of the human develop is not always considered an important part of theeducational system in the public schools, the ministry of educations offers a special program that is focused on them. Developed and structured keeping as a nucleus the artistic expression and the appreciation of the arts in all the forms it has, the program corresponding to “Ciclo exploratorio integrado” for artistic schools is being analyzed and resumed in this document.
The particularity of thisprogram, as it was mentioned before, is that its nucleus is the art and all its forms. Using as a goal the reinforcement of a series of aspects such as: The expression of feelings and emotions of the child in relation to environments, The Experimentation with different techniques of artistic expressions. The Knowledge of the surrounding cultural environment and artistic tradition. The Aestheticappreciation and critical reflection on artistic and cultural events from different places and times. The Knowledge of concepts and procedures of different artistic languages. The share of artistic creations developed during this stage of their development.
This program was created as an adaptable tool, modifiable to be adapted to all the particularities of the school context. Offering to theteacher with activities, examples and guidance for the lessons in order to help him to encourage the development of an artistic view and an appreciation for the arts as a mean of learning and understanding of the different realities that the students may face.
The Present activities in this program promote artistic experience not only through the practice of techniques and enhancing skills, but alsoby observing the current artistic medium as a source of study. Encouraging the artistic expression in the students in the music, the visual and the dance.


WHAT IS AN “ART SCHOOL” ACCORDING TO MINEDUC?
They are schools that offer permanent systematic specialized arts education to young students. These schools follow two types of programs.
The national (regular) curriculum of generaleducation (primary and secondary education)
And at the same time they follow a special program of personalized studies of arts education.
ORGANIZATION OF THE PROGRAM
This program, that includes 3rd and 4th year, is organized into 3 categories closely related:
Learning Outcomes → involving all kinds of arts.
Assessment Indicators → students’ performance
Examples of activities → actions toreach a proper implementation of the program.
These categories are present in every unit of the program. Both 3rd and 4th year programs include 3 units divided as it follows:

DIDACTIC ORIENTATIONS
The aim of this program is to develop certain skills of the students, such as body language, musical and visual. The purpose ofthis is to incorporate practices, procedures and techniques belonging to each of the artistic languages present in order to build skills in projects relating to concepts and issues the contemporary world. From this, it promotes a deepening of knowledge and implementation tasks involving research and artistic experimentation from each of the proposed areas. Also, it allows the exploration ofconcepts that are linked with temporality, space and their routes, natural elements in its symbolic dimension and visions on which the arts are held to stand in front of the current social, cultural and technological reality.
The disadvantage of the program is that the Ministry of Education doesn’t give "artistic approaches" to teach English to children in these techniques, but that every school can...
