 PRESENTE CONTINUO: (Continuous present) tiempo verbal que expresa acciones del presente pero con ciertos matices que lo diferencian del presente simple. Es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza paraexpresar acciones que tienen lugar en el presente, en el mismo momento en el que se está enunciando la frase. El Presente Continuo se forma con el presente del verbo (to) be más el verbo de la acción engerundio (Infinitivo + ing).

Oraciones afirmativas: Sujeto + Verbo to be en presente (am, is, are) + Verbo en ing +   Complemento.
John iswashing the dishes.
They are washing the dishes.

Oraciones negativas: Sujeto + Verbo to be en presente (am, is, are) + not + Verbo en ing + Complemento.
John is not washing the dishes.
They arenot washing the dishes.

Oraciones interrogativas: Verbo to be en presente (am, is, are) +Sujeto + Verbo en ing + Complementos?
Is John washing the dishes?
