I would show you how to make a potato candle.
The candles were the lights when the people were in the dark. Candles have cast a light on man's progress forcenturies. However, there is very little known about the origin of candles. Although it is often written that the first candles were developed by the Ancient Egyptians who used rushlights, ortorches, the rushlights had no wick like a candle. It is the Romans who are credited with developing the wick candle, using it to aid travelers at dark, and lighting homes and places ofworship at night.
And I want to show you how to make a potato candle because I was interested in how to make crafts and also because it is easy to do in your house, and you can use thenwhen the power goes out so I’ll show you how to make one.
Now I would show you step by step how to use a potato candle :
First I will take out the materials.
The things you'll needare:
* Large baking potato
* Apple corer
* Brazil nut or almond
And I will take out the potato and cut the bottom and the ends of the potato.Using the apple corer, bore a long, cylindrical piece of potato from its tallest point, mimicking a candlestick. These is a short dificult to cut like cylindrical so I would do it slow foryou can see me.
Cut the Brazil nut or almond thinly to create the candle's wick. Now I will show you how it is so you can do it in your house.
I will make a small cut in the top of thecandle and insert the nut wick into it and then light the wick.
But you have to put the nut wick in the middle to prevent the burning of the potato side. Also you have to leave a littlelong nut wick out to flame last longer.
Blow the flame out before the nuts burns completely. The wick should last between three and five minutes. Thats all thanks for your attention
