Tom left Columet camp at 7 am.

It is better to travel with a companion.

In the Klondike , a companion it’s very essential. Tom Vincent experienced thishimself.
He found another bundle of leaves and ticks he took out the matches and in 5 minutes the fire was huge and burned well.

The coldness had defeatedhim; he couldn’t use his hands he started running.

Tom Vincent knew that it was important to make a fire in the 1st try.

He reached a mountain that wasnext to a creek; there he found one of the most dangers of traveling north.

TO BUILD A FIRE

The next morning he reached the Cherry creek happy to be therein a terrible state. He now says. "Never travel alone"

After 5 minutes he found the camp but it was deserted. He sat in the snow and began to cry he knewhe would not survive more than an hour.
He found a couple of leaves and sticks under a pine. He took out matches and the fire began burning.

In the interiorpart of the trip it was difficult to see if he can fall in the frozen ice.

He knew the trip would be harsh that’s why he decided to stop and have a littleof lunch.

Many had told him “never travel alone. Nut he would laugh and not pay attention.

He rubbed his hands until he was able to have his circulationmoving normal in other to reach his dried socks and boots.

He remember there was a camp that if he can locate he would be able to survive.

Up north 12inches of water can mean the difference between life and death.

The water in the creek was frozen.

At 11.30 he had walked 15 miles . He was half way there.
