“When people succeed in life, it is because of hard work. Being lucky has
nothing to do with success in life”

Everyone will agree that hard work is the main key to every step towards success but luck plays an indispensable role in the journey to achieve those successes. So many people in this world work very hard but still do not meet their dreams and goals. From myeveryday experience and observation I can totally disagree with the statement. I think people must also have good luck to lead their hard work towards success.
First of all, to be lucky in life you must have worked hard for it previously. There are very rare cases in which people have accomplished their goals because of pure luck without any previous work or effort. In this essay we will talkabout some of them later on. To be successful and have luck, you need to prepare your self.
Since we are little children we go to the school, to start feeding or minds with the basics. As we grow up we acknowledge more and more information that will be key in our lives, even if we don’t realize it. Preparation is essential because in order to develop your ideas you need a background to support them.During the preparation progress you will find about your skills and what fascinates you. Knowing this is the first step, because is much easy to succeed in something that you are passionate about, because that way you will enjoy what you are doing. You need to have dreams and goals in life even if they are rather impossible but it is also good to settle some lower targets in a short period of timeto avoid feeling deceived when it takes more time that what you expected. But don’t give up, everything in life has its reward in the long run.
Some great examples of hard workers that have received their recompense are Pedro Almodóvar and Steve Jobs. Almodóvar was born in Ciudad Real, so knowing the possibilities that Madrid could offer him he moved to the Spanish capital at the tender age ofsixteen years old, all alone, without his family. He worked very hard to make his way into the movie industry. After 15 years and eleven his talent was given an award with the release of “Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios”, when he got his first Goya. At the age of 50 he finally won an Academy Award with “Todo sobre mi madre” achieving the dream of any moviemaker after years of hard work .The case of Steve Jobs is the example that even when you have been defeated you must carry on and keep trying. When he was expelled from Apple, the company that he himself founded, he started a new company neXT that become so successful that Apple decided to buy it, so in the end he returned to his first company and as CEO he raised Apple to a worldwide level not known before. Those were examplesof people that worked hard during all their lives and finally got to be in the position they so desperate desired, but there are other occasions in which people have struggled very hard, but even then they don’t succeed, and sadly it’s what commonly happens.
Luck is basic, so to be one of those people who succeed, you have to be in the right place at the right time. You never know when the luckmight come to you so be always ready, because these lucky strikes are not very usual and sometimes you may not even realize that it was a great opportunity until you have lost your chance. Stay positive, think that you will have your moment. Make sure you are surrounded by the right people and that you are doing your best to have a positive attitude. Nobody likes those pessimists who are alwaysgrumbling about their bad luck and how unfair life is. Most of the times the attitude is more important than the aptitude. "Good things happen to good people", that is what my mother told me when I was little, and it is from my point of view tremendously true, or at least that is how it should be. You can't expect the people to be nice and give you big opportunities if you have acted badly with...
