Course Expectation
Objective: To align the objectives of the course with the student’s expectations.
Procedure:Students will write their expectations of the course, the perceived objectives and their goals to be achieved with the course. The student will share their expectations with the rest of the groupIncrease the knowledge about the formation of society. Get the enough information that allows me to talk about different aspect of our existence.
Be able to know, understand, and discuss many aspect aboutother civilization that I did not know, but were really important for how we life today.
When this course ends I hope to know the difference between different words that are really similar to me, andhad better understanding about the humanity in general.
The humanities: are academics disciplines that study the human condition using methods that are primarily analytical, critical, or speculative,as distinguished from the mainly empirical approaches of the natural sciences. The humanities include ancient and modern languages, literature, history, philosophy, religion and visual and preformingarts. Humanities regarded as social sciences include; history anthropology, communication studies, cultural studies, law and linguistics.
History: History is systematically collected informationabout the past. When used as a name of the field of study, history refers to the study and interpretation of the record of human’s society’s institution, and any topic that has changed over time.Culture: Is a modern concept based on a term first used in a classical antiquity by the Roman, the term first began to take its current usage by Europeans in the 18th and 19th centuries refer to thebetterment or refinement of the individual, especially through education and to the fulfillment of national aspiration or ideals.
