I should like to apply for the post of accountant as advertised in The Times of 23rd June.
I am currently working for an insurance company in London but am attracted to the position you are offering as it appears to provide more responsibility and challenge. Therefore, although currently engaged, I could be free from any present obligations after presenting a month's notice.
If youshould decide to offer an interview, I should prefer a time during an afternoon.
I enclose my curriculum vitae, which gives full details of my qualifications and work record to date.

As can be seen in my Curriculum Vitae, I was made redundant by my last company and have been unemployed for the past year. However, during this time I have beenusing my accountancy skills by helping at my father's business. This experience has ensured that my practical ability as an accountant has not diminished and neither has the habit of doing a full day's work. Therefore, I feel I have sufficient preparation to carry out the duties of the position on offer.

Como pueden ver en mi Curriculum Vitae, perdí el empleo en mi empresa anterior por su plan de despido y llevo en el paro desde hace un año. Sin embargo, a lo largo de este período he utilizado mis conocimientos de contabilidad en la empresa de mi padre. Esta experiencia ha asegurado que mantengala habilidad práctica de la contabilidad y que además no haya perdido la costumbre de realizar una jornada laboral completa. Por lo tanto, me estimo con la preparación adecuada para enfrentar las responsabilidades que exige el puesto.

In reply to your advertisement in the ABC of 11thApril, I should like to apply for the post of translator / interpreter.
As you can see from the enclosed curriculum vitae I have worked for several years in a translation agency and also as an interpreter for a travel agency in Seville.
I hold a diploma in Tourism (3-year full time course) and also the certificate of Oficial Translator in English (2-year full time course).  I have an excellent levelof spoken and written English and German and have a basic knowledge of French. I also have certificates in courses of Windows and Word.
