The cyber crime is a term created in the last decades. The term is used to define those illegal transactions through the Internet or that aremeant to destroy and damage computers, electronic media and Internet networks or steal personal information, among others.
The world of cybercrime has many different categories and forms of action,even though their actions are different, cyber crimes are aimed at stealing information. Fraud, theft, blackmail, forgery, attacks on systems, bank robberies, attacks by hackers, violation ofcopyright, pornography, pedophilia on the Internet, violation of confidential information; all of them are characteristic in that world. Cybercrime is a broad subject, and it affects many different areas. Itis for this reason that cybercrime can be divided into the following 2 groups
* Crimes that target computer networks, to harm computers and servers, for example, with the installation codes, wormsand malicious files, spam, massive attack to Internet servers, malware, trojans and virus generation.
* Crimes perpetrated through computers and the Internet and its implications are focused oneconomics, for example, espionage, fraud, stealing passwords, account hijacking, data theft, child pornography, pedophilia, fishing, etc.
These activities can be completely virtual, because theinformation is in digital form and its damage has no consequences in the physical damage; the damages are into to computers or servers. Although its damages are virtual, these implications virtual, can havevery serious consequences on the lives of those affected by these crimes.
