Deductive VS Inductive Thinking
I have noticed that normally we tend to use inductive thinking when
we get to see manyfacts that we think that lead us to an obvious answer,
whenever we want to make a quick desicion or if we think that something
specific takes us to general conclusions because of what it looks orwhat
what it does.
We use deductive thinking when it´s important for us to be sure that our
answer is the correct one, so in this case we might use some sort of
mathematic orcientific methods to look for to correct answer; or we could
deduct many events or evidences to make our conclusion; generally this
works when the facts you use have been proven before.
Iwould say that the advantages of thinking inductively are mainly that it
doesn´t need any kind of mathematic or cientific method to prove it, it´s
what i would call ¨life knowledge¨ because youknow something is true for
personal experience or results constantly repeating; basically that it is a
fast way to make conclusions.
Advantages of thinking deductively are that if wewant to have a more
accurate answer this is definitely the type of thinking we should use, but it
depends on if your deductions are right or wrong to see if your final answer
is also right orwrong; for example if want to make sure of how to do your
homework you may want to think things well to get to the best possible
answer.
Disadvantages of inductive thinking are mainlythat if conditions change
then you can´t considerate this to be a trustable method and even if
you have the knowledge you might make mistakes; while deductive
thinking disadvantages are thatif dont know the correct way to do the
research you need maybe you will not be able to do it correctly and take,
this means that it doesn´t matter you deduce things, you have to be sure
you...
