Hablar con un niño sobre el suicidio es una de las cosas más difíciles que jamás puede hacer. It is normal to feel uncomfortable. Es normal sentirse incómodo. Everyone feels unprepared, uneasy, andanxious telling children that someone they love has died from suicide. Todo el mundo se siente inquieto, ansioso y decirle a los niños, en bruto que un ser querido ha muerto por suicidio. As lovingpeople, we want to protect children from pain. Como pueblo amante, queremos proteger a los niños del dolor. Unfortunately, we cannot avoid talking about an event that will impact their life.  As adults,we can be supportive in helping children to experience life naturally, and we can lead them in positive directions. Desafortunadamente, no podemos evitar hablar de un evento que tendrá un impacto suvida. Como adultos, podemos ser de apoyo para ayudar a los niños a experimentar la vida natural, y podemos llevar en direcciones positivas.
Basics to remember when talking to children about someonespecial who has died from suicide: Conceptos básicos para recordar al hablar con los niños acerca de alguien especial que ha muerto por suicidio:
* They want to know that their feelings areokay no matter what they are. Ellos quieren saber que sus sentimientos están bien, no importa lo que son.
* They want to feel loved and valued above all else. Quieren sentirse amados y valoradospor encima de todo.
* They want to feel protected and that no one else is leaving them or will die right now. Ellos quieren sentirse protegidos y que nadie más lo está dejando o se mueren eneste momento.
