China’s Downfall
The Ming Dynasty took over China from 1368 to 1644. It became the dominant power in Asia. Over 1368, Hongwu became the first Ming emperor and drove out the Mongols outof China. He began reforms designed to restore agricultural lands devastated by war, erase all traces of the Mongol past, and promote China’s power and prosperity. Later, Hongwu became aruthless tyrant. He killed thousands of officials. When he die, the economic facts lower and the power began to struggle. His son, Yonglo, emerged succesfully and moved to the royal court toBeijing. He also wanted to expand China’s tribute system. Therefore, Zheng He led seven voyages and China withdrew in isolation.
By 1600, the Ming Dynasty ruled for more than two hundredyears and it was getting weaker past the years. The economy was failing, the taxes growing, and the rulers were not effective. Thanks to that, the rebellion emerged. The Manchus, who were thepeople from Manchuria, invaded China and the Ming Dynasty collapsed. They gain the control of China. Also, they took a Chinese name for their dynasty, the Qing Dynasty. Hopefully, theywould rule for more than 260 years. There were two emperors who succesfully contributed in the appearance of this new dynasty. The first is Kangxi, who ruled for 60 years and the second one,his grandson Qian-long , who ruled from 1736 to 1795.
Great Britain wanted to increase the trading with China, but China was self suffiicient and refused the need of the British. Later on,the Chinese conquered Korea and made it a vassal state. Afterwards, the people of China began worry about the ruler that will control their country.

So, the Ming Dynasty was destroyedbecause of China’s ineffective rulers, corrupt officials, and lack od economy. Althought, mainly because of the Manchus that attacked China gaining the control of this big continent.
