El Amanecer

I think that so far I have made two major decisions in my life. The first one is leaving home to come to study here at Bethel College. I gethomesick a lot. I try to call my parents almost every day. My freshman year I will call every day, now, I barely have time; I try to call at least 3 timesa week. You must be thinking that I am exaggerating, but most of the people here can go home over breaks because they live in another state or fewminutes or hours from campus, meaning they can drive. But I have another situation. I have to buy a flight ticket if I want to go home, and believeme, I do not have the money to buy a flight ticket for every break. My second major decision is deciding my major. I decided to challenge myselftaking ASL as a major, but it is really hard, at least for me. The reason I decided to study ASL was because I was looking for something different, butI think I went way too far. I have been asking myself at least for the past two months is this what I want as my career. If have been a fight thatI have been having with myself. Hopefully, I will make a decision soon.
I know my life is going to be full of major decisions, but for now thisare the two I consider as major decision so far. I told my dad about this and his response was: “You know what, life is going to bring you situationsin which you will have to make really hard decisions, but just remember that in everything you decide let God guide, let him be the one in charge”.
