Introduction

In this exposition we want to talk and present to the teacher and our classmates the results of being abused emotionally, this is a common abuse that the people do nowdays.
We aregoing to talk about the definition of emotional abuse, signs, effects that a person can have, and also how the people can deal with this type or abuse.

Definition of Abuse and Emotional Abuse.Abuse: is any behavior that is designed to control and subjugate another human being through the use of fear, humiliation, intimidation, guilt, coercion, manipulation etc. Emotional abuse is any kind ofabuse that is emotional rather than physical in nature. It can include anything from verbal abuse and constant criticism to more subtle tactics, such as repeated disapproval or even the refusal toever be pleased.

Emotional Abuse: Emotional abuse is like brain washing in that it systematically wears away at the victim's self-confidence, sense of self-worth, trust in their own perceptions, andself-concept. Whether it is done by constant berating and belittling, by intimidation, or under the guise of "guidance," "teaching", or "advice," the results are similar. Eventually, the recipient ofthe abuse loses all sense of self and remnants of personal value. Emotional abuse victims can become so convinced that they are worthless that they believe that no one else could want them. They stayin abusive situations because they believe they have nowhere else to go. Their ultimate fear is being all alone.

Signs of Emotional Abuse

There are many signs that a person who receives this typeor abuse can have.
Some of these signs are:

* Treats of suicide or violence
* Low self-esteem
* Destroying your property
* Controlling your activities
* Limiting contactwith friends and family
* Fear
* Anxiety
* Lack of sleep
* Manipulating him/her with fear or shame.
