For more than 15 years the discussions in the different conferences of the parties to the Organization of the United Nations (UN) organizes every year, which assist scientists andrepresentatives of more than 160 Governments are agreed that the use of fossil fuels (coal, oil and gas) is causing a dramatic and accelerated climate change. Global warming is already exposing millions ofpeople at risk of hunger, drought, floods, hurricanes, epidemics like malaria and will result in permanent loss of species.
Ways of clean and renewable energy such as the wind energy, they areessential if we want to stop climate change. Renewable energy sources are vital to continue the energy transition from forms of energy polluting towards forms of clean energy to reduce the threats to ourhealth and benefit balance for the sustainable development of the environment in the coming years.

It is abundant and reliable. Mexico has one of the most important wind resources at the global level on the ground, this is in the isthmusof Tehuantepec, Oaxaca State. From the isthmus of Tehuantepec wind energy could provide 7% of the needs of power at the national level.
It is economic: Given the current high cost of gas and oil,the generation of electricity through the power of the wind will be cheaper.
It works: Denmark and Spain now get over 20% of its electricity through the power of the wind.
Creates jobs. The windindustry could bring thousands of jobs to Mexico.
Low-impact: Unlike other technologies, wind farms are not facilities that have a high impact on your environment.
It is safe: Technology to takeadvantage of the wind has become more reliable and safe and allows to have more certainty about the energy that will be generated in the future up to 7 days in advance.
