HISTORY AND POLITICS
The Roman Empirenow is considered Western Europe. The empire was conquered by the Roman Army and a Roman way of life was established in these countries. The countries conquered were England, Spain, France, Greece,the Middle East (Judea) and the North African region.
The most important general of The Roman Empire was Julius Caesar.
It was a great general and statesman, Caesar won a civil war to become soleruler of the extensive Roman domains and dictator for life. He was assassinated by enemies.
And finally is Mussolini. He became the youngest ever Prime Minister of Italy in 1922, using his fascistorganisation of “Blackshirts” to propel him to power. He transformed the office into a dictatorship and allied with Hitler’s Germany, but was forced to flee when World War 2 turned against this him. He wascaptured and executed.
Now a days, the president is Giorgio Napolitano, who helped reform the Communist Party and the Prime Minister is Mario Monti.
