The Educational Philosophies are tools of the future. Perennialists, essentialists, progressivists, existentialist, and social Reconstructionists are the educational philosophies that are used inUnited States. A great percentage of teachers in the United States are studying to improve profoundly about of these educational philosophies. Those philosophies that lead teachers to be good educatorsgive the student the best education they need. Those philosophies permit society, teacher, schools, student interact to each other in different ways. Perennialism focuses in the classic works and hasbeen used by generations, and the curriculum is created by the society who decides what the best subjects is to be teach; essentialism is a philosophy that uses the basic knowledge as writing readingand computing, and it differentiates perennialism because the curriculum is elaborated by the society and teachers. Other philosophy is the progressivism which is base on meaningful knowledge wherestudents are free to develop themselves academically but by the guidance of teachers. Progressivism in contrast to existentialism that assure that student choose “what they need to study, guided by”(52)a facilitator. Social problems like violence, hunger, poverty, racism, sexism, pollution, etc, are solve to Social reconstruction that is the philosophy that engage social problems and students arefree to select any social problems to be studied, and solved. Those philosophies have been used around The United States, but I think the eclectic approach is the best philosophy because it gaveus the opportunity to embrace and mix many philosophical ideas of education giving the educator flexibility to teach in class.
