Without doubt Euthanasia is a topic which has been the focus of great controversy in many years. Euthanasia refers to the practice of ending a life in a painless manner. Manydifferent forms of euthanasia can be distinguished, voluntary when the patient actively takes the last step in their death, and involuntary when an individual makes a decision for another person incapableof doing so. In addition, there are some countries where the euthanasia is allowed and supported by government policies. However, there are others which are still analyzing about it. While it may betrue that there are some people who agree with Euthanasia, I am convinced that Euthanasia must not be allow in any country.
People who are in favor of Euthanasia say that it is the best way tostop quickly and humanely with the pain and suffering of a person during a disease. They state that even without considering the physical pain, it is often difficult for patients to overcome theemotional pain of losing their independence. Furthermore, they think that Euthanasia is an option to give people the ability to die with dignity. On the other hand, we are not anyone to take human life underany circumstance. With euthanasia no one's life is being saved - life is only taken. To kill one, or to get someone else to do it for us, is to deny God, and to deny God's rights over our lives andhis right to choose the length of our lives and the way our lives end. So that is why Euthanasia is considered as a crime.
People also say that people who are at hospital and have terminallyillness must be euthanized in order to avoid economic costs and human resources. They maintain that the energy of doctors and hospital beds could be used for people whose lives could be saved instead ofcontinuing the life of those who want to die or are like a vegetable which increases the general quality of care and shortens hospital waiting lists.
