Experiencias obtenidas en los procesos de evaluación institucional del IESE ante la CONEAU

Resumen
En este trabajo se ha buscado volcar aquellos aspectos principales referidos a las experiencias obtenidas porel Instituto de Enseñanza Superior del Ejército (IESE) durante todo el período de tiempo transcurrido desde que el mismo aceptó voluntariamente someterse al primer proceso de evaluación externa ante la Comisión Nacional de Evaluación y Acreditación Universitaria (CONEAU), hasta que diez años después finalizara el segundo de los procesos antes mencionados.
Para el IESE significó no solamente ungran desafío, sino un reconocimiento de las falencias y limitaciones existentes en sus procesos de enseñanza – aprendizaje, en la investigación, en la extensión y en la gestión institucional, entre otros aspectos. La decisión adoptada implicó un profundo sentido autocrítico y tuvo la finalidad de fortalecer, prestigiar y actualizar al IESE, del mismo modo, los valiosos informes elaborados por laCONEAU han constituido la guía rectora de las transformaciones encaradas desde distintos ámbitos para ampliar la oferta educativa y mejorar la calidad del sistema.
Cada proceso de evaluación posibilitó al IESE reflexionar sobre los aspectos observados, modificar o crear estructuras, diseñar planificaciones tendientes a instrumentar mejoras en los aquellos aspectos observados o señalados comodebilidades y realizar acciones concretas para superar las mismas, e incluso para potenciar las fortalezas institucionales.
Finalmente, es importante señalar la trascendencia que éstas acciones han generado en todos los integrantes del IESE y en sus respectivas Unidades académicas dependientes, ya que han logrado visualizar y entender no solamente aquellos cambios que fueron materializados,sino también comprender que existen aspectos que en el futuro deben ser modificados para lograr el éxito institucional.

Abstract
This paper has sought to deal with key aspects related to the experiences gained by the Institute of Higher Education of the Army (IESE)throughout the period of time since it voluntarily agreed to undergo the first external evaluation process before the National Commission Assessment and Accreditation (CONEAU) until ten years after the end of the second of the processes mentioned before.
For the IESE it meant not only a great challenge, but a recognition of the weaknesses and limitations in their teaching - learning, research,extension and institutional management, among others aspects. Making that decision involved a profound self-criticism and was intended to strengthen, enhance and update the IESE, and at the same time the valuable reports produced by the CONEAU have become the guide leading the changes approached in different areas to expand the educational offer and improve the quality of the system.
Eachevaluation process enabled IESE to reflect on aspects observed, modify or create structures, design schedules meant to implement improvements in aspects observed or indicated as weaknesses and take concrete actions to overcome them, and even to enhance the strengths.
Finally, it is important to stand out the importance that these actions have had in all IESE members and their respectivedependent academic units, as they have managed to visualize and understand not only the changes that were materialized, but also understand that there are areas that must be modified in the future to achieve institutional success.
