Farsa De La Luna
The crew of Apollo 11 was made by the mission commander Neil A.Armstrong, Edwin E. Aldrin Jr. and Michael Collins. Only the first twolanded on the lunar surface
On July 20, 1969 Neil Armstrong left foot was a small step on the dusty surface of the moon. Over half a million viewers watched the start of the space age and the birth of a new urban legend. Inthe early seventies, the man allegedly went to the moon and paved the way for the space age that exists today in the XXI century. However, the mission became a topic of skepticism by the technology of thetime, tools, according to their background and analysis would not have been able to accomplish the mission with 100% accuracy.
The space race
During the height of the Cold War the UnitedStates and the formerSoviet Union competed in many fields, whether espionage, weapons of mass destruction and even reach the final frontier, space. The winner of this "race" is immortalized in history after demonstrating its power and reach to the moon first to meet theobjectives of the space mission.
At first the U.R.S.S. had gained advantage when put into orbit an artificial satellite Sputnik, October4, 1957, similar to an aluminum sphere measuring just over half a meter in diameter and weighed83 kg This satellite contained two temperature gauges and anelectron yet fulfilled its mission: to travel into space, orbit the earthand hurt American pride.
In response to the advance of the former Soviet Union, the U.S.launched the Vanguard I, which was filmed a total failure, becausethepitcher broke just above the ground. Meanwhile the Russiansgot the first living creature sent into space, the dog Laika, who alsobecame the first victim to die from lack of oxygen.
On April 12, 1961 the Russians sent Yuri Gagarin, the first cosmonaut, who was orbiting between 181 and 327 km altitude by 108 minutes. After five years, scientists from the former Soviet Union managed to land on themoon with Lunik 2, a device after deploying their antennas broadcast the first images of the lunar surface.
Americans already demoralized by the imminent defeat by the Russians, are motivated by President John F. Kennedy, who through a televised statement promising to concentrate its efforts and resources to send the first man on the moon. This revelationserved to divert attention from themisunderstood Vietnam War,which had already claimed more than 50,000 casualties amongsoldiers and peasants. "Plan B" and landing
The President's proposal became the motivating pressure to develop the space plan to a comprehensive rate. But according to some theories too were forced to formulate a backup plan, which was conducted with the help of the Hollywood studios. The "Plan B"NASA was mountinga false scenario to simulate a hypotheticallanding on the moon. This would avoid public embarrassment inone second if the original release did not happen. The technology of the time was not very advanced space missions, sometimes the computers of 64 kb of memory "hung" and did not have enough memory to be effective, communications were intermittent and neither had accurate data on where was going to land on themoon, the mission was almost suicidal.A chilling story that reveals the historical incompetence of theNASA technology was the case of Apollo I. On May 27, 1967 the astronauts were repairing the command module of the ship when itpassed a short and chilling message: "We have a fire in the cabin."Within seconds the temperature rose to 1,400 degrees due to the high concentration of pure oxygen. Thethree astronauts were burned in their seats. Many scholars at NASA knew it wasimpossible to prepare a mission to the extent that the President had proposed a period of two years.
Armstrong's landing is still perceived as false because of time constraints that astronauts on the moon stayed, which was 21hours on the surface, while the lunar mission was expected to last 3 days, the "walk" was...
