All over the globe policymakers and academics agree that entrepreneurship plays a critical role for the development and well being of society. At the same time what one understandsentrepreneurship to be is not always viewed equally and this hinders making fact-based policy. An entrepreneur could be defined as a person who organized and manages any enterprise, especially abusiness, usually with considerable initiative and risk. (Web Dictionary).
But the questions here is, does every one can be an entrepreneur? Do you learn to be one? Well it is an essential characteristic,an ability to create and generate new ideas, to be fearless, to be ready to take any risk, don’t be scare of failure, all of this comes with been an entrepreneur.
But also this is influence by theculture you are from, hoy women are perceive, how young are this people when people started to encourage them to be individuals, how the government and its economy functions. All of this also reflectsand affects leaders. In this paper all that kind of information will be exposed.
BACKGROUND
Its important to mention where does this information comes from, to be sure that the data and thecontent is logical and certify. All the information is based on GEM studies (The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor). Michael Hay of London Business School (LBS) and Bill Bygrave of Babson Collegeconceived it in 1997. LBS and Babson funded a prototype study that year. Ten national teams conducted the first GEM Global study in 1999. The Global Entrepreneurship Research Association (GERA) was formed in2004 to serve as the oversight body for GEM. GERA is a not‐for‐profit organization governed by representatives of the national teams, the two founding institutions and sponsoring institutions.
GEMfocuses on three main objectives:
