THE TREES

Ever since Joe stopped working for the school’s administration he had very money
and because he didn’t have time for a full time job, he was struggling to get money. That time he quitted his job he felt better because he hated the job. He had been working there for almost 3 years! He went home, he didn’t have car so he went there walking. It was a cold day in NewYork, and also very dark, the road to his home was very dark. The street he had to take to make the less time was very creepy, in the 3 years he had to take it, he never liked it. He always felt like being watched from the line of trees. He had to cross the Central Park, and at that time of the day, nobody went there. Ever The trees always formed creepy figures.
The next day, Joe decided tocongratulate himself for quitting the job, so he decided to throw a party with his friends. But the party was until 11 o’clock in the afternoon. In the time left he printed a bunch of résumés, and went job hunting. Because of his studies it wouldn’t take long for him to find a decent job. He quickly found a good job in a VFX office. He got it and went back home. It felt strange…, not having to cross thecentral park, the creepy figures, the dark noises in the forest, the water of the fountains and the sound of the branches breaking.

Now it was 7 PM and the clothes he was going to use weren’t ready. Joe quickly thought to himself “Quite the party huh?” It wasn’t even going to be a party it just was a reunion between his friends: Jorge, Angie, Robert, Sebastian, Emilio and Esther & Karol.In the way back home he suddenly felt being watched again! He taught to himself how scared he was of monsters and giant bugs. And there it was… a little forest in the other side of his new job. For being just 7:30 PM it was pretty dark In there, as he was passing that fence he was hearing the noises of the branches breaking closer and closer to him as he was walking faster and faster.Suddenly he spotted something at the other side of the fence jumped into him, he jumped like a scaredy cat. He could swear he felt that something hit him in the shoulder. He quickly fell to the ground, His heart was pumping so fast, he feared, it would burst out of his chest. He also quickly stood up and checked his body to see if he was hurt, and looked away to see what hit him. He didn’t see anythingbut the scare? Quite the scare he had. He continued his way back home to get ready for the reunion, but without knowing what hit him.

He got back home and got his things ready, and sure enough it was now 11 o’clock. Now, the reunion was just to have fun and grab a cup of coffee in the local Ice Cream store and do shenanigans. When he told his friends about the accident , they laughed at him.He went back home and got ready for sleep, but he felt it again. This time he felt it harder, it was the strong feeling of being observed. But he jut had to live with it. The next morning he woke up sick, he had a strong fever and an incredibly strong headache. He wasn’t attending his job until Monday, it was only Friday, plenty of time to get better. He went to the hospital and the doctorsuggested him to get some medicine, so he bought it, and went home, in a few hours the fever was gone but his headache wasn’t . It was even harder, he felt like his head was going to explode.
It was weird since he had taken the medicine, but he just figured it would go away. He was wrong, he was dead wrong. He stayed home until noon and afternoon just resting in bed watching tv, relaxing.
The nextday he woke up much better and he went to his new office too setup all his things in his desk and stuff. He went back and the absurd feeling of being watched by someone on the other side of the fence of the forest. He felt released but once he got back home he felt it again, it was like the feeling had moved from the forest to his bedroom. He felt the need to clean his bedroom to see if the...
