INDIGO CHILDREN
Which would be the first impression when someone mentions that her/his child is an “indigo children”?
Sometimes the people confuse this term with hyperactivity, because both have some things in common but we have to know the differences between them to avoid the confusions.

This term is a new one, in this time is called pseudoscientific New Age theory and also is defined asthe children who are believed with special and unusual abilities to think or act.
The idea is based by Jan Tober in 1970’s who says that the next stage in human evolution started. With the book “The Indigo Children: The New Kids Have Arrived written by Lee Caroland Jan Tober” some alleged characteristics are:
* The belief that they are empathetic, curious, strong-willed, independent, and oftenperceived by friends and family as being strange.
* Possess a clear sense of self-definition and purpose.
* Exhibit a strong innate sub-conscious spirituality from early childhood (does not necessarily imply a direct interest in spiritual or religious areas).
* A strong feeling of entitlement or "deserving to be here."
* A high intelligence quotient, an inherent intuitive ability.* Resistance to rigid, control-based paradigms of authority.
In the other hand if we are conscious that also this topic maybe have two ways to see the things, because we may think about those “characteristics”, if they are true or not; or just create our own ideology about this topic.
Taking in to account that there are some people who really don’t accept this type of “stereotype” alsothere are another who really believe in the existence of this types of child.
Recovering some information about the opinions of the population I decide to give two examples about how two persons think very different concerning to this topic. With the information about the opinions of the population recovered with interviews.

The first interviewee is a student of psychology her name is LourdesTorres, and she makes a contrast about the true and some lies that in her opinion the people think about this topic:
Me:  Do you was acquainted with this term?

Lourdes:  Actually as you can see with the investigation that you did, this term is not only for this century, but also we have a “taboo” about this topic, the question is: Is that true? Really exist this type of children?

Me: Responding that questions, Are you agree or disagree how the people judge them?
Lourdes:  With my personal opinion I can not tell you specifically if that is true or not because each person would have a different way to think or see this, I only can said that if you looking the term of “Indigo child” with the psychology it would have different points of views, I going to give you an example; maybe ifyou make the same question to a psychologist he would tell you that this terms would have many reasons some of them would be a mental illness, the most common the superstition of the parents, the confusion with hyperactivity, etc.
Me: Suppose that you have a child and this boy has a high IQ, but with the years you look that he starts with symptoms like hyperactivity and autism, obviously you area psychologist so you make an appointment and the results are that your son has the curious “symptoms” of a indigo child, What does you would do after that?
Lourdes:  First I never going to treat him like a bad son or with an mental illness, because in my point of view if he is special is because he can do things that another boy not, so like his mom I going to back up him but like a professionalI going to give help to him, but not with a medical treatment with medicine because I am sure that giving medicine you are only perhaps trying to calm an anxiety or something like that, that can produce something even more serious.
Me:  Great, so do you think that is easier explain this to another parents that maybe have a wrong idea for how to help their children?
Lourdes:  Maybe this is...
