The government of Unites States of America has always had the intention of going to war for any reason, like the search of wealth; this wasusually accepted by the americans because they were used to the sweet taste of victory, but things changed after the first defeat of the American army, the defeat in the Vietnam War.This defeat was taken as an humiliation to the Unites States, and this made people think about what did they lose on every war, making them realize the huge amount of deaths anddestruction behind every war in the world, this brought a huge social disagreement against wars.

These disagreement moved the United States into a new social era, which startedwith the huge social movement of the hippies, trying to show that everything was better with peace and love made protests and manifestations against the war. this had good results.after the hippie movement started to vanish, United Stated didn’t do any huge military movement during the 70’s, but after a generation everything would be the same for the newyouth who didn’t know exactly what had happened there before.

For the reason mentioned before, United States came back to the military actions during the 80’s when everyone wasfinally forgetting about Vietnam’s war. from that moment they decided to make everything perfect avoiding as much as possible any problem similar to those happened in vietnams, fromthat moment until now, United States hasn’t had any other defeat such as vietnam’s one.

The effects of Vietnams war were powerful in a short time range, but those who still remainaren’t as huge as they usually are thanks to the new generations who have forgotten about the past trying to make a new future just like the typical movies about wars did.
