WHAT WERE THE MAJOR SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PRE-INDUSTRIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LABOR?

In this essay I am going to talk about the major differences andsimilarities between pre-industrial and industrial labor. In the industrial labor the machines started to appear in the industry, This is one difference between pre industrial and industrial labor, that inthe pre-industrial labor there was no machines and in the industrial labor the machines appeared. But this brings us out to an important difference and I think one of the biggest difference betweenindustrial and pre industrial labor. As the number of machines started to increase the number of workers started to decrease.
This was not good for the workers, but it wasn’t good to the owners toobecause the workers were some of the persons that buy their products and when the workers stop working they don’t have the money to buy the product of the owners so this make the owners gain less moneybut produce more. But the workers were not paid good like it says in Source#6( “The clothier’s delight; or, the rich men’s joy, and the poor men’s sorrow, wherein is exprest the craftiness and subtilityof many clothiers in England by beating down their workmen’s wages,” song, 18th Century) “ We’ll make the poor weavers work at a low rate” this was written in a song the weavers made.
One bigdifference was the way the work was done. In the pre-industrial labor the workers were able to work at home as it says in Source#4(Guild Regulations in the Prussian Woolen Industry) “The woolen wavers maysell by retail and cutting-up home produces clothes and baizes” but by working at home the weavers were able to regulate the quality of the goods and the sale. But in the other way the industrial laborwas all different they need to work at factories were the rules were really strict as it says in Source#7(Rules for Workers in the Foundry and Engineering Works of the Royal Overseas Trading...
