Glass recycling is the process of turning waste glass into usable products. Glass waste should be separated by chemical composition, and then, depending on the end use and local processing capabilities, might also have to be separated into different colors. Many recyclers collect different colors of glass separately since glass retains its color after recycling. The most common types used forconsumer containers are colorless glass, green glass, and brown/amber glass.
Glass makes up a large component of household and industrial waste due to its weight and density. The glass component in municipal waste is usually made up of bottles, brokenglassware, light bulbs and other items. Adding to this waste is the fact that many manual methods of creating glass objects have a defect rate ofaround forty percent. Glass recycling uses less energy than manufacturing glass from sand, lime and soda.

Every metric ton (1,000 kg) of waste glass recycled into new items saves 315 kilograms (690 lb) of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere during the creation of new glass. Glass that is crushed and ready to be remelted is called cullet.

How To Recycle Glass
Most collectionpoints have separate bins for clear, green and amber/brown glass. Glass reprocessors require separation by colour as the different colours of glass are usually chemically incompatible. Heat-resistant glass like Pyrex or borosilicate glass should not be disposed of in the glass container as even a single piece of such material will alter the viscosity of the fluid in the furnace at remelt.
Glass isan ideal material for recycling and where it is used for new glass container manufacture it is virtually infinitely recyclable. The use of recycled glass in new containers helps save energy. It helps in brick and ceramic manufacture, and it conserves raw materials, reduces energy consumption, and reduces the volume of waste sent to landfill.

Separation And hadling Of Glass
* Glass isseparated into 3 colours: green, brown and clear.
* Take great care when handling broken glass, wear gloves if possible.
* Deposit glass at your nearest recycling bank by throwing them into the appropriate container.
* Many supermarkets have glass-recycling banks, enabling you to recycle glass on your weekly shop.
* Most home recycle bins, provided by your local council, usually acceptglass.
* Make sure you wash out the bottle or jar before putting it into recycling bins.
* Reuse glass whenever possible. Jars can be used as small containers and bottles can be used as vases.

Preparation of the blends:

The preparation of the mixture can be divided into four parts:
Storage: is to locate the different materials in different storage sites kept there until used.Weighing: following the previously established formulation weighed each of the components by automatic mechanisms and in certain proportions.
Mixing: After being weighed each of the raw materials, are sent to the mixer where, for a preset time and a specific addition of water, the components are mixed thoroughly.
Transport: Finally the mixture is sent through to the elevators and conveyors bins whereit is finally ready to be charged to the furnace.

GLASS RENOVATION:

The channel is responsible for sending the glass from the oven to the place where the container forming machines. During this passage the temperature decreases gradually glass (and therefore increase its viscosity) so that at the end of the glasschannel is obtained in a state that can be modeled, corresponding to a certain temperature to make a bottle determined.
Conditioning the glass is called to the fact control the flow temperature of the glass is within the channel from the orifice refining refractory to drop form.
The homogeneity of the mixture of glass revising existing temperatures measured from the bottom to the side surface of the...
