Business ethical situations
Directions:
Good discussions on ethics are often driven by situations that challenge our abilities to determine the right thing to do, carry out effective ethicalaction, or lay out an effective strategy for avoiding ethical obstacles in the future.
Each one of the following situations will be a topic for conversation for the other half of our N4 course. Pleasemake sure you read and understand each of the situations find out and do some research before you come to class every day.

1. Receiving a Holiday Gift:
A supplier that’s been trying to becomeselected to provide good for your company and knows the decision is yours to make, sends a basket of expensive foodstuffs to your home at Christmas with a card: "We hope you and your family enjoy the'goodies.'". What action(s) might you want to take?
The first is that I will see the supplier's interest to negotiate with my company. I think that this gift could indirectly influence however this isn'ta determining factor because the business will be with my company and I must be someone impartial and objective.

2. Sales Expense:
The purchasing manager for a large company agrees to give you anorder (their first), expecting you agree to make a $200 donation to his favorite charity, a local youth sports team. How do you respond?
Assuming the donation out of my salary, maybe not do thisbecause this is a personal decision. If my income is high I would think because this could affect my work life.

3. Sales Expense Reimbursement:
A customer executive from Southeast Asia will visityour HQ facility and meet with your executive team. Your independent Southeast Asian agent requests that you reimburse the customer for his expenses, including expenses that could violate your company'spolicies. The agent will reimburse you. How do you proceed?
As the customer is important for the company I could talk to my boss and then negotiate with the person to reach a consensus, if possible...
