In the new century the main issue is to recycle, reduce and reuse. This is because we, the human kind, are in an era that is based in consumption, so rather than reusing orfixing things that stop working, we are used to get a new one. In the past that maybe seen as a good thing, but nowadays we have to worry because our resources are limited but or consumption level isn’t.As these problems are the face of this decade (and I am sure many ones to come) people are starting to happy attention the solution of these problems. Many things have been crafted in order to stoppollution and promote recycling. For example and just to mention a few, we are going to list some ideas that have been helping the human kind in its fight against itself.
Water purification is awonderful idea, which its main purpose is to treat contaminated water into water that is available for human consumption. The water we drink is the most important thing in the planet. As a quick fact,about 1 billon lack access to a purified source of the precious liquid and about 2 millions die due to drinking contaminated water.
One of the preoccupations of our governments is the use oflandscapes for the management of solid waste or how it is commonly called landfill; this measure is more like an esthetical measure as it is only the waste being moved far from the main cities of a country. Inmy opinion things like recycling and composting should replace this method ipso-facto.
As the oil (main fuel in human mankind) reserves are starting to finish we have been developing new ways toproduce energy or what scientists call them renewable energy sources. Some examples for these are the wind as in eolic energy, the sun in solar energy, the Earth’s heat as in geotermical energy. Theyhave the advantage that they don’t end and are safer, cheaper and cleaner.
