GRAMMAR
Unit 1
· Present simple
· We use the present simple for routine actions.
Example: I always talk to my mother on Sunday.
· We use the present simple for permanent situations.
Example:I have a work
· We use the present simple verbs such want, know, like.
Example: I want a car
· We use the present simple for future plans that have been planed, especially when you refer to travel.Example: I´m doing a picture.
· Structure
· Subject + verb + complement
· Subject + Do/Does + not + verb + complement
· Do/Does + subject + verb+ complement +?
· Structure Vtobe
· S + vtobe + complement
· S + vtobe + not + complement
· Vtobe + S + complement +?
· We use these words with the pressent simple :Always,everyday,usually ,often rarely , hardly ever never
Exercise:I (travel) .......... to London every week. Yo viajo a Londres todas las semanas.
They (run) .......... in the park every Saturdays. Ellos corren en el parque todos los sábados.
My mother (clean) .......... the house. Mi madre limpia la casa.
You (be) .......... a good student. Tú eres un buen estudiante.
Mary (work) .......... in a bank. Mary trabaja en un banco.
John (walk).......... tohis office. John camina a su oficina.
You (study) .......... English at school. Ustedes estudian inglés en la escuela.
The dog (break) .......... the fence. El perro rompe la cerca.
The car (be) .......... in the garage. El coche está en el garage.
My father (have) .......... a nice coat. Mi padre tiene un lindo saco.
Present continuos
· We use the present continuos for refer to actions thatare happening in that moment.
Example: I am reading a book -> Yo estoy leyendo un libro (en este preciso instante)
· We can use the present continuos for refer to actions that are frequently
Example :You are always working -> Estás siempre trabajando (lo hace frecuentemente)
· When we have planned a action and we have decided that we are to developed. (future plans)
Example: I am going toMadrid next week -> Voy a Madrid la semana que viene

· Structure
· Subject + am/are/is + verb + ing + complement
· Subjet + am/are/is + not + verb + ing+complement
· Am/are/is+ sujeto + verb + ing +complement +?
We use with the present continuos these words : Now, rigth now, at the moment y at present.
Exercise:
It .......... rain .......... in New York. Está lloviendo en NuevaYork.
Mary.......... cook.......... in her house. Mary está cocinando en su casa.
Peter and Susan .......... play ......... in the beach. Peter y Susan están jugando en la playa.
My father .......... work .......... in the garden. Mi padre está trabajando en el jardín.
I .......... learn .......... French. Yo estoy aprendiendo francés.
You .......... .......... study ......... math. Tú no estásestudiando matemáticas.
My sister .......... eat .......... at the restaurant. Mi hermana está comiendo en el restaurante.
We .......... enjoy .......... the party. Nosotros estamos disfrutando la fiesta.
They .......... .......... see .......... the pictures. Ellos no están viendo las fotografías.

PastSimple
· We use the past simple to describe actions that have happened in an earlier time and have completed.
Example: She cleaned her house
Structure
+ S + Verb in past / - ed + C
- S + Didn't + Verb in infinitive + C
? Did+ S + Verb in Infinitive + C + ?
We use past simple with these words last night ,when, yesterday etc,..
Exercise:He................... (write) his homework last Sunday.
Mary.................. (not go) to school last week.
................... you................... (play) basketball two weeks ago?
I.............. (study) French last year.
They................. (buy) a new flat last month.
John.............. (take) his driving test yesterday but he................. (not pass) it.
