reCibido: 11/12/07; aCeptado: 23/3/08 resUMen Este trabajo analiza las redes sociales y laspautas de identificación territorial de una muestra de 413 adolescentes y jóvenes inmigrantes en Huelva y provincia (España), de primera generación y media y segunda generación. Se describen las redes sociales de los inmigrantes y sus identificaciones territoriales, para después analizar sus vínculos a través de un análisis bivariable, y de la aplicación de una regresión logística multinomial, quetoma como variable dependiente la autoidentificación territorial. Entre los principales resultados cabe destacar la división de la muestra básicamente en tres grupos de alrededor de un tercio del total: identificados con el origen, con el destino y con una identificación múltiple o transnacional. Contar, entre otras cosas, con amigos españoles en la red es uno de los factores que se asocian a lamayor identificación con España, mientras que mantener contactos con familiares en el origen es importante para entender la identificación con el país de origen. En cambio, los resultados sugieren que los identificados transnacionalmente se nutren de amigos tanto españoles como no españoles (algunos de estos últimos que están fuera de España y con los que contactan por múltiples vías). Concluimostambién que aunque las redes sociales contribuyen a explicar las autoidentificaciones de los inmigrantes, hay otros factores en el escenario explicativo de este objeto de estudio polifacético. abstraCt This work studies the social networks and territorial identities, considering a sample of 413 adolescents and youngters interviewed in Huelva (Spain) belonging to a first and a half and secondgeneration immigrants. The immigrant’s social networks and territorial identities are first described in a univariable analysis, and, in order to analyse their links, in a second and third step, it was made a bi-variable analysis and a multinomial logistic regression. In this last case the territorial identity was the dependent variable. Among the results, we found three main groups: those identified withSpain (the destination country), those with the country of origin, and those with a transnational identification or a multiple identity, each group representing around one-third of the sample. with the identification with Spain was having Spanish friends. One factor linked with the identification with the country of origin was having differents ways of keeping in touch with relatives there. Nevertheless, the results suggest that those identified transnationally have Spanish and non Spanish friends, and that they keep in touch with the last ones by different ways (chats,messenger, e-mails…). It was also concluded that although the social networks contribute to explain the autoidentifications of immigrants, there are other factors in the arena for the explanation of this multifaceted object of study. palabras Clave: Redes Sociales, Adolescentes y jóvenes inmigrantes, Identidad, Identificación territorial, Identidad transnacional.
