PETER’S DIARY
July 14th, 1942
Dear Diary:
I am really happy because we are finally here, with Mr. Frank and his family, safe from the Nazis and the concentrationcamps. But at the same time I don’t like being here because it is not fair that I don’t get to do the things I used to, only because I’m a Jew. I’m not a criminal, those Nazis are crazy. The good thingis that I have Mouschi with me, he takes my mind out of what is going on outside, he distracts me which is a good thing. My father doesn’t like him, but he does not understand I am here alone, andthere is nothing I can do. I am so glad I found you diary, when I don’t get to be with Mouschi I will write on you again.

September 14th, 1942
It has been two month since we are here. Myparents started arguing and I don’t like that, it’s something I can’t handle. I am tired of being here, I don’t tolerate Anne Frank, she gets on my nerves. She is so talkative, and cheerful, I cannotbe cheerful in a situation like this. Now I understand why some people called her Mrs. Quack Quack, she would never stop talking and always wants to be the center of attention.
She wants tobe friends with me and Mouschi, but she doesn’t understand I don’t like her, and since Mouschi is mine, she is not going to be friend with him either. I would like that Anne could change, because itsjust Margot and her, but Margot seems kind of shy, which is not my type.

January 27th, 1943
The longer we are here, the stronger are the fights of my parents. I don’t know why they don’tstop fighting, they don’t understand that being in this circumstances it’s better when you are together so you can go through it.
Anne has changed. Since the Hanukkah celebration, whenshe gave Mouschi his present, I have changed the way I see her. She has been supporting me at my parents fights, now she is more mature. We have been in my room a couple of times, and one time we...
